Ella-May is dashing for darts ’25!

Read why Ella-May, darts trainee and musician, is doing the dash this year

Hi, my name is Ella-May Thornely and I am doing the dash for darts this November!

I am a freelance musician and recently completed my 3 month Expanding Horizons Traineeship with darts. During this time, I worked on 8 of the programmes darts runs in and around the Doncaster community.

Having spent 3 months on these programmes it became obvious that these programmes become an integral part of attendees’ lives and many say they don’t know what they would do without them. They provide a space to socialise, disconnect from the outside world, and do something positive for their mental health.

I am doing the dash for darts as I would like to fundraise to ensure that these programmes can keep running and ensure that the community of Doncaster can continue to participate in creative health activities.

I am not a “runner” by any means. I have completed the occasional ParkRun (just about) and I am looking forward to this challenge. Nervous, but looking forward to it!

Donate to Ella-May’s fundraiser here.
