Meet the Artist: Felipe Petry

Felipe Petry is a musician based in Huddersfield whose work spans performance, arranging, composition, sound engineering and music production. Born in Brazil, Felipe came to the UK in the early 2000s to learn more about how music was produced in this country.

Felipe is passionate about creating original music, especially if it contains unusual sounds or rhythms. He is also passionate about helping others create and record music, with a strong belief in its power to improve wellbeing – especially for adults navigating mental health challenges. Felipe believes anyone can make music, whether through traditional instruments or computer-based ones.

Felipe was part of the 2026 Artist Development Programme led by darts and Maya Productions.
