darts is looking for new Core Drama and Core Dance Artists

Join our team!

We are looking for two new core artists to join our friendly and passionate team: a skilled drama practitioner and dance practitioner who can plan, deliver and evaluate high quality arts activities in Doncaster.  As part of our Core Artist team, you will work with other experienced, passionate, and adaptable artists in one of the largest participatory arts organisations in the UK.

We are looking for people who can contribute to the quality and direction of artistic practice across our company and have the skills to manage day to day running of specific Arts & Education and Arts & Health programmes.

We want to work with artists who are friendly and approachable. You will have the ability to communicate effectively with a range of people including other artists, teachers and children and young people.

As a drama practitioner, you will be passionate about collaborating with others, particularly with children and young people, including those who are Disabled, at risk of harm and/or with limited experience of the arts. Throughout this work you will have a consistent focus on providing the best possible experience. Our desired outcomes include improving confidence, developing emotional literacy and independent decision-making across our programmes; if you are interested in supporting young people to develop these skills – this could be the job for you.

As a dance practitioner, you will be friendly and approachable with the ability to communicate effectively with a range of people including other artists and participants.  You will be passionate about collaborating with others, particularly with children and young people and older adults, including those who are Disabled, at risk of harm and/or with limited experience of the arts. Throughout this work you will have a consistent focus on providing the best possible experience.

Both posts are:

  • Permanent positions
  • 3 days per week
  • Based at The Point and working across the Doncaster borough
  • Salary pro rata £28,699 – £31,362 depending on experience
  • 6.6 weeks paid holiday per year (pro rata)
