From 7 – 30 June our gallery will host Celebrate, a showcase of work from Art, Design and Media graduates from University Centre Doncaster.
The exhibition will be an eclectic mix of work including sketches, paintings, 2D/3D visual development, animations, textiles designs, ceramics, sculptures and illustrations. Completed pieces will be on display alongside works in progress, giving a glimpse into the artistic process.
The art on display will be the work of students on Illustration & Concept Art, Graphic Design, Games Design & Animation, Fine Art & Crafts and Fashion Design & Textiles courses.
Celebrate is a wonderful opportunity for us to showcase the diverse and creative range of skills by local developing talent.
Programme Leader of the BA(Hons)/FdA Illustration & Concept Art course, Carey Sizer-Coy has co-ordinated the exhibition for the third year running to celebrate the creative artwork of students studying at Doncaster with support from colleagues Andrea Sutton, Simon Gomes, Laura Green, Ady Smith, Mike Bunn and Jerry Leigh.
Carey says: ‘This is not only an ideal opportunity for our students to exhibit within a professional and stunning gallery space, made possible by the continued support of Helen Jones, a director at The Point, but allows others from the Doncaster community and further afield the ideal opportunity to see what the University at Doncaster has to offer within our Art, Design and Media degree programme areas.’
