Enjoy this new series of music podcasts and create your own Music Maps

Poet Ian McMillan clapping his hands at a darts Singing for Memory session.

If you were to create a ‘music map’ of your life, what songs would you include? What songs have inspired you, meant something special, got you through the day, or made you want to dance? What are your unforgettable gig moments?

To give you some ideas, we asked three of darts artists to talk about their favourite music memories in our Desert Island darts-casts.

Professional musicians Dyzelle Sutherland and Gary Hammond are interviewed by poet Ian McMillan, and in turn Ian is interviewed by Gary and Dyzelle.

Listen to Desert Island darts-casts.

To help you create your own music map, download Gary’s tracklist and Dyzelle’s tracklist for inspiration. You can also try our Music Map Guide.

We would love to hear what songs you chose. Let us know via our social media [Twitter/Facebook/Instagram] or by emailing amy@thepoint.org.uk

Our Desert Island darts-casts were mixed and edited by professional music producer, Rob Pearson.

This activity is part of We Create: Mexborough, a partnership project with Cast and Heritage Doncaster, funded by Doncaster CCG.
