Do you have a flair for writing, a love of communicating face to face and excellent organisational skills?

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop their expertise within a supportive and welcoming team.

We are looking for someone who is ambitious, motivated and proactive to join us in the role of Fundraising & Development Assistant. You will support the work of the Director (Fundraising & Development), including writing funding applications, networking and building relationships with local businesses, and bringing our work to life through case studies, communications and marketing. You will be responsible for updating the fundraising databases, thanking donors and conducting research into new funding opportunities.

We want to work with someone who is friendly and approachable with an ability to communicate clearly, effectively and persuasively. You will be able to collaborate and enjoy supporting others. We need someone who is eager to learn and develop their skills, enjoys writing and has a keen eye for detail. You will be able to listen and empathise, to use your initiative, and have the motivation to work within a team, with honesty and integrity. You need to be able to work in a highly efficient and agile way, co-ordinating a broad range of tasks and managing multiple priorities and deadlines. This role is multi-faceted and offers a broad range of experience.

The opportunity

You will have the chance to learn from colleagues who are knowledgeable and experienced, while supporting a wide range of participatory arts delivery with different audiences. We have a skilled and experienced fundraising lead, and well tested financial systems. The funding portfolio is made up of a broad range of local and national funders from different sectors including public sector, health, trusts and foundations, grants, tenders, individual and corporate giving. We have raised over £7m in the past ten years with an average 45% success rate.

  • Based at The Point, Doncaster. Hybrid working available (following a successful probation period)
