gallery visits for schools
The gallery at The Point is available for schools to book out for a visit
darts programmes exhibitions for our gallery at The Point in central Doncaster. This is a beautiful, large, light-filled contemporary gallery space with plenty of room for children to explore artwork individually or in groups. We programme between four and six exhibitions each year and always ensure that they are of a very high quality and have a participatory element so that audiences can get involved and really connect with what they see.
Self-facilitated visits for classes
The gallery at The Point is a vibrant contemporary space that encourages audiences to explore, look, listen, talk about and make art. Teachers can bring their classes to The Point and use the exhibitions as inspiration to create new works of art or make a local gallery back at school. Do let us know that you are coming by booking ahead! Visits are available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday between 10am and 12 noon or 1pm – 3pm. We recommend that you book as early as possible to ensure you are able to visit on your preferred date.
To book a self-facilitated visit please telephone Amy on 01302 558041 or email email@example.com

Artist led workshops
Schools can book an artist workshop for pupils during their visit. These sessions change depending on the exhibition as they are inspired by the artworks on show. Our artists will always make curriculum links where possible. A visit is a great way to achieve the ‘Looking at and talking about art’ outcome required as part of the curriculum.
An artist-facilitated visit is an excellent way for schools to support their children’s Arts Award qualification or as part of an Art Week. We have additional rooms where children can eat packed lunches or create their own artwork in response to the exhibition.
A fee applies for artist led sessions. For more information or to make a booking please call Amy on 01302 558041 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
