Inspiring Leaders, Creative Learners

Supporting learning through creative practice

Inspiring Leaders, Creative Learners is our two year programme which aims to support teacher development and pupils’ learning through developing teachers’ creative practice. We are delighted to be collaborating with the Rose Learning Trust and their 9 primary schools on this programme, and are grateful to the Paul Hamlyn Foundation for funding this work through their Teacher Development Fund.

Teachers are working closely with a team of artists to build their arts based practice, using drama and storytelling to improve core student skills such as focus, empathy and vocabulary. Sessions will focus on enhancing pupils’ communication and language, as well as their personal, social and emotional skills. Artists are learning from teachers about the curriculum, learning styles and particularly working with Year 1.
