Keepmoat Homes sponsors The Point’s gallery

We are pleased to announce that we are working in partnership with Keepmoat Homes following their generous sponsorship of The Point’s gallery. The donation has contributed to the new internal wall space in the gallery, built specially to house the current ARTIST ROOMS: Bill Viola exhibition.

darts’ Assistant Director, Helen Jones, who curates the exhibition programme at The Point, said: “We are delighted that Keepmoat Homes has agreed to support the exhibition and hope that this is the beginning of a fruitful relationship. It is our ambition to bring world class art to Doncaster people’s doorsteps and this cannot happen without donations of this kind.”

Matthew Lawrie, Social and Economic Manager at Keepmoat Homes said: “Keepmoat Homes is committed to improving the lives of Doncaster residents. We know that darts delivers a wide programme of creative activity that benefits the lives of Doncaster residents and are keen to work together on this shared vision.”

The gallery at The Point is always free to visit and all are welcome. The Point is a fully accessible and inclusive venue in the town centre. It is the only Makaton Friendly venue in Doncaster and has a Changing Places facility for those with additional needs who cannot use standard accessible toilets. The staff are Dementia Friends trained and it is a Breastfeeding Friendly venue.

ARTIST ROOMS: Bill Viola is at the gallery until 15 December 2018.

As a charity, darts (Doncaster Community Arts) relies on fundraising, sponsorship and donations to deliver its work. If you are interested in sponsoring future exhibitions or making a donation to support activity in schools, with children and young people living with disability, with vulnerable children and young people, with adults experiencing mental health issues or with those living with long-term health conditions, particularly dementia, please contact Sophy Sylvester on
