Music-making sessions inspire adults to be creative
Our Creative Directions in the Community sessions got off to a great start
Participants from our Creative Directions Askern and Edlington groups joined professional musicians Gary and Dyzelle for a virtual music-making session via Zoom.
As some participants have been shielding since March, we started the session with a cuppa and a chat so participants could enjoy making connections digitally with others, and be put at ease.
During the session, participants were engaging fully and offering suggestions for song lyrics and melodies, responding positively to each other’s ideas and feeling excited to be making music together again.
Dyzelle told us, “We could see that participants really enjoyed the session. There were lots of smiles and laughs, and participants seemed to leave the session feeling uplifted.”
We look forward to seeing how these sessions develop, and exploring this new way of engaging with participants.
