Participants collaborate over Zoom to produce an original song and music video

People from across Doncaster have been joining professional musicians for fun music-making sessions every Wednesday via Zoom.
Musicians, Mick Jenkinson and Luke Carver Goss worked with participants to create a brand new song about the things that have lifted our spirits during lockdown. Participants contributed their own lyrics and set the words to music.
Taking their songwriting one step further, Gary Hammond and Moony Wainwright then came on board to help the participants work on recording and producing the song. Finally, the group created a music video to add a visual element to their song. Have a look at their final piece here.
Alongside our virtual sessions, we provide lots of ways for adults experiencing mental health issues to enjoy making music at home. Visit wearedarts.org.uk/creativedirections
