Virtual choir sessions support people to feel connected

Whilst The Point is closed to the public, we’ve been supporting our Quirky Choir participants to feel connected with virtual sessions

Quirky Choir is our welcoming and inclusive choir that encourages Doncaster residents of all ages and walks of life to come together and sing a variety of songs.

Whilst our home, The Point, is closed to the public, we’ve been supporting our Quirky Choir participants to feel connected with virtual sessions.

Musician Janet Wood has been hosting Zoom sessions with participants so they can enjoy singing songs together from home.

For one Quirky Choir participant, the sessions have made a real difference:

“I have appreciated the sessions very much. It’s brought some normality to my life during these difficult times. I can’t wait for us all to get together again to sing as a choir, and get that feeling I get when everything goes well, we all harmonise together and make beautiful sounds.”

We will continue to provide Quirky Choir participants with weekly opportunities to enjoy music from home with Quirky Choir Online.
