we create allotment and rambles
New opportunities to get creative and connected
We Create is a group for adults who want to take part in free creative activity to help them feel good and stay connected.
In partnership with Flourish, we will be meeting at their new allotment in Conisbrough, planting seeds and getting creative at the same time. Expect music, art and more. Free, friendly and absolutely no experience necessary.
Thursday afternoons from July 22nd 1.30-3pm.
The allotment is just off the junction of Leslie Avenue and Gardens lane, beside the Rowena Academy. Look out for the sign on the gate! The closest postcode is DN12 3JY. The 221 bus stops close by.
It is a 1 minute walk down a track from the road. The track has uneven ground. You can arrange drop off directly beside the allotment. The bed we are working on is a raised bed, with ample space for wheelchairs, although the ground is a little uneven. There is a basic toilet facility onsite. There is space to socially distance and hand sanitiser will be available.
From July to September 2021, join us for rambles with poet Ian McMillan.
Expect a fun, poetic take on local history, no experience necessary.
Meet at 11.00am, the event lasts around 1 hour.
July 22nd & Aug 19th
Castle Hill Park
July 29th & Sept 2nd
Mexborough train station
Aug 12th & Sept 16th

Sites are step free but some have some uneven ground. We will walk around the sites; these are small areas. We will stand most of the time. There is some public seating available. There are toilets at the station but not at the other sites.
